Strata Fundamentals of IT Technology

Overview

This introductory level course is designed for participants who are either new to the IT field or who want to enhance their foundational skills in the IT arena. Topics covered in the course include technology and hardware basics, software installation, security, and Green IT.

Objectives

After completing the course, participants will be able to:

• identify and explain PC components
• set up a basic PC workstation
• conduct basic software installation
• identify compatibility issues
• recognize and prevent basic security risks
• perform preventative maintenance of computers

Format

Strata Fundamentals of IT Technology is a 39-hour course, offered in multiple sessions based upon the needs of the customer. The course is delivered in an interactive, learnercentered style of facilitation.
