The Sage Group, in partnership with Nashville State Community College, is able to offer an associate’s degree path. For many, the ability to earn a degree while developing valuable job-related skills is an exceptional benefit. The NSCC General Technology A.A.S. degree is a flexible degree program that is relevant to today’s telecommunications environment. The degree offers a structure that allows for frequent customization in response to rapidly changing technology and provides an avenue for offering credit for skill development programs. Specifically, the General Technology degree program is:
- Targeted to the telecommunications environment
- Applicable for Tuition Aid and other funding programs
- Allows scheduling to meet each student’s unique needs
Technical Concentration

Technical Electives
The General Technology degree requires an additional 30 credits of technology courses in each student’s chosen area of emphasis. College level Sage Group courses are used to meet these requirements. Some courses that address these requirements include:
- Cloud Computing
- Fiber Optics and Fusion Splicing
- Long Term Evolution & 4G Fundamentals
- Networking
- Project Management
- Wireless Technology
General Education

The General Technology degree requires a minimum of 15 credit hours in college level courses focused on general education. These courses, common with all colleges and universities, are:
- English Composition
- Speech
- Social Science
- Mathematics or Science
